Guru Nanak Dev University (G.N.D.U.) was set up at Amritsar, Punjab, India on 24 November 1969 to remember Guru Nanak Dev's introduction to the world quincentenary festivals. Guru Nanak Dev University grounds is  spread more than 500 sections of land (2 km²) close town of Kot Khalsa, almost 8 km west of the Amritsar, alongside Khalsa College, Amritsar. 

G.N.D.U. is both a private and an affiliating college. In considering its future course, the destinations revered in the Act 1969 underscored that the new college would make arrangement for granting training and advancing exploration in the humanities, learned callings, sciences, particularly of connected nature and innovation. Studies and research on the life and lessons of Guru Nanak, notwithstanding moving in the direction of the advancement of Punjabi language and spreading training among instructively in reverse classes and networks were different duties.

      ELIGIBILITY  CRITERIA

  

          General Requirements for Undergraduate Admissions 2019

• Students must clear 10+2 with a minimum score of 50% marks aggregate.
• Those belonging to reserved categories had the relaxation of up to 10% marks to be eligible in the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.

           Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

• Students have to pass 10+2 with the minimum of 50% marks with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects.
• Candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC will get up to 10% marks relaxation to be eligible for the GNDU Amritsar.
• The students have to appear & write the JEE Main Entrance examination.

           Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech

         To be eligible for M. Tech in Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar:

• Students have to pass B.Tech courses with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Those who belong to the reserved category are get up to 10% marks relaxation in total aggregate marks.
• Students should have to take the respective departmental heads Entrance Examination for eligible to the M.Tech courses.

            Eligibility Criteria for M.Com

• Students must have a Bachelor Degree in the B.Com or in the BA in Economics [Hons], with the minimum of 50% marks as aggregate.
• There is up to 10% marks relaxation in case of the Scheduled Castes. 

         Eligibility Criteria for Other Courses.

     MBA/ MCA/ M.Lib.I.Sc

• The eligibility for these courses in any Bachelor Degree in relevant fields with the aggregate 50% marksis needed.
• Students belonging to reserved categories will get relaxations of up to 10% marks.

MA/ MPA 

Students have to have the Bachelor Degree in the Bachelor of Arts [Hons] with the minimum 50% marks as aggregate.

 Library Facilities: The Library of GNDU is its pride. It is a magnificent building with approximately 4,00,000 books with several rare manuscripts. 

Hostel facility:The GNDU contains 2 boys hostels and several girls hostels. Each hostel has several blocks with hundreds of rooms in each block. Hostels get 24*7 water and electricity. The annual fee for the hostel is INR 18,000 with additional INR 5,000 to be deposited as security which will be refunded to you when you leave the hostel. The mess charges are separate from the hostel fee which you'll have to pay every month with each diet of INR. 25.

Sports facility: Every year GNDU organizes no. of sports activity like hockey, football, badminton etc. and no. of other events which provides the opportunity to the students to take part in no. of activites and build up their confidence.

Transport facility: GNDU also provides a good transport facilities to the student who are not able to buy their own vehicle.

Fully Wi-Fi Campus: The entire campus is equipped with Hi-speed WiFi. But the students get only 200 MB data per day which is revived every day at 12 a.m.
